Equipment Hire  

Coffs Harbour is the closest major hub for services and equipment hire (approx. 25 min drive from Bellingen or 15 min from Urunga). Hire of wheelchairs, scooters, lifters, shower chairs and other equipment can be arranged from the following suppliers, who also provide a mobile service at times: 

 
Transport 

Bellingen and Urunga 

Bellingen Shire Taxis is owned and run by The Community Transport Company. The fleet contains, maxi taxis, wheelchair vehicles and sedans to meet your transport needs. Call (02) 6655 2221

Dorrigo

There is no on-demand service for transport in Dorrigo and bookings are required in advance. Please call:

Amenities

Amenities are unlocked during daylight hours. Some accessible amenities require a Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK).  

MLAK toilets are located in: 

  • Maam Gaduying Park (in front of the Council Chambers), Hyde Street, Bellingen 

  • Church Street Amenities, Church Street, Bellingen 

  • Bellingen Park - Kiosk near the Grandstand

  • Bellingen Showground, Hammond Street, North Bellingen 

  • Dangar Falls, Coramba Road, Dorrigo 

  • Urunga Visitor Information Centre, Urunga 

 

Swimming Pools 

The Bellingen Swim Centre boasts a 25m x 8m lane pool with wheelchair access and hoist. There is also a walk-in ramp into the main pool.

The Dorrigo Swim Centre boasts a pool hoist and the 25m pool is heated.

Beach Chair 

A beach wheelchair is available to hire from the Reflections Holiday & Caravan Park Urunga where you access the boardwalk and the Lido foreshore area.
