Two pianists, one piano, four hands. Composer Elena Kats-Chernin AO and ARIA award-winning pianist Tamara-Anna Cislowska open their Ancient Letters regional tour at Bellingen Memorial Hall, presented by Music in the Regions. You may already know Elena's music: Eliza Aria, Russian Rag from Mary and Max, and the score for the Oscar-nominated Memoir of a Snail. Tamara has recorded eleven number one albums and presents Duet on ABC Classic. They have played together since 1995 and play from sketches rather than a finished score, rebuilding each piece live, so no two concerts are the same.
