Just 20 minutes south of Coffs Harbour and 15 minutes from Bellingen, Urunga is a hidden gem where the Bellinger and Kalang Rivers flow into the ocean. This charming seaside village is loved for its peaceful atmosphere, unspoilt natural beauty, and easy pace.

Urunga is all about life by the water. Whether you're boating, fishing, swimming, or simply picnicking by the river, the town invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment.

The Urunga Boardwalk is a beautiful riverside and coastal experience in Urunga, NSW, offering gorgeous water views and a peaceful way to explore the foreshore from town out along the river. A 200-metre section of the new boardwalk is currently open, including a viewing platform where visitors can already enjoy elevated views over the river and surrounding landscape. In its current partial form, the Urunga Boardwalk offers a taste of what will be a truly iconic walking experience when fully completed in 2026.

Surrounded by tranquil waterways, wetlands, and beaches, Urunga is also home to a small but welcoming range of cafes, clubs, and facilities, making it easy to unwind and feel at home. Sportsgrounds, riverside parks, and shady spots by the foreshore add to the town's laid-back appeal.
